GreenMntRanger

A couple of weeks ago, I joined the Forum to get some info on a 414-8 that I was buying from a buddy at work ( really, his MIL). you guys pointed me in the right direction for a lot of info, but the biggest request was for pictures. Well , I brought her home yesterday (HAPPY FATHERS DAY WEEKEND TO ME!!!!!) and snapped some pictures before I mowed the yard. This is my first tractor ( at least I went with the best right) and like a few of you said in my first post, it wont be the last....I want a bigger one :handgestures-thumbupright:

ya see that the tire on the cart is flat...no hole just neglected. put the compressor to it and good to go with very little weather checking to the rubber.

the blade is a bit rusty on the face and on the cutting edge, face will clean up with a wire brush, the cutting edge will take a bit of work to clean up though

Looks like you got a great package deal there.

I bet you'll want some of the little roundhoods pretty soon too.

Well you have the Wheel Horse curse already,( I need a bigger one or at least another one), That isn't a bad thing though, just ask anyone here! :laughing-rofl: Seriously, you have a nice start there. Nice that you got the blade and cart too. We will be waiting for your new pictures of the next one.

Thanks for all the thumbs ups....and yeah, a really good deal, 500.00 OTD for the lot, plus a small walk behind mower and a Mantis tiller thrown in. Now, before I get another tractor, I really want a rototiller, a grader and a snowblower attachment, wheel weights and chains....Guess you can get addicted after just one :laughing-rofl:

great start to the addiction,i have 2 414-8 and they are very capable machines, the 14 is good on fuel and has all the power that could be asked for from a garden tractor, unless you put a 42 2 stage snow blower or a 48 mower and try to cut in 3rd gear, seat looks nice from pics too

Good lookin tractor ! Better start getting more storage room. Now that you're hooked, it's only a matter of time until you bring the next one home. Then another and another and so on and so on. :eusa-whistle:

Nice acquisition there, 'Ranger! I'm just across the Greens from you in the CT River valley. If I hear of any attachments for sale over this way I'll PM you. I've got three 300-series, a fourth under construction, and I can't say enough good things about these tractors. You got a great deal on the stuff you purchased. If the Mantis runs, you'll be amazed how much work those little buggers can do - scary! I love mine!

Oh, yeah - the addiction can start with just one tractor, believe me! :ROTF:

Very nice tractor. You might want a bigger one (and you should get more than one), but you won't need more than one - LOL.

Good luck,

Bill
