250 front loader hydraulic pump

Recommended Posts

alan8three73

Hi folks...

I have a D-250 with a hydraulic pump and 4-way hookups in the front

for a plow. The hydraulics work great for the plow. I also have the

Front loader which has it's own hydraulic pump... just with 2 hoses.. hi

And low pressure im assuming. My question is can I connect the

Front loaders hoses to the pump that's already installed for the plow?

I see the top of the plow pump has two plugged outlets... does anyone know

If I can use those for hi/lo pressure lines of the loader? Id like to

Have the lines installed there to make it easier to use the loader when

I need to and not have to swap pumps.

Pics attached... installed pump (black one) has 4 way lines for plow hookup

.. plow has up/down pressure and left/right. Red pump is the one hooked to

the loader.

Can I move the loader lines onto the plow pump?

Thanks

Very interesting idea.

The FEL pump appears to be one of the cessna pumps very much like the one on my FEL. I believe that they are rated at 1000PSI.

A lot of what you propose depends on the pressure and flow rates required to operate the attachments. Obviously, you can't exceed the rated pressure for each attachment, so you will need to know what pressure the plow is supposed to operate at. If they match, then you could probably get away with it.

If the flow rate is not enough, the attachment will just move slower, but no damage will be done.

Do they both use the same operating fluid (motor oil or hydraulic fliud)?

You should take a close look at each of the pumps for make/model and see what you can find on the internet.

NO you can't use the tractor hydralics for the loader.

Those are not ports there the relief valves, there set to low for a loader

Instead of changing the pump just add another D 250

Hehe @baerpath! I'm actually getting rid of one of the D-250's the front loader came off of! I have 3 of these, and the last one has 4th and 2nd gears missing. My other 2 are in much better shape so i want to see what needs to be done to mount and unmount the loader only when i need it. Aside from being heavy as heck it's not terribly bad of an install. I'm probably gonna keep the frame mount on the quick attach on since i wouldn't use this for mowing ... just either plowing or FEL.

That's a great point about the pressure out of the cessna vs. the bosch. I'll do more research and find out. I also think the cessna is meant to mount onto the front PTO as the hydraulic lines are way too long to be mounted next to the motor as it was previously. I see the mounting cracked is all chopped up too - like it was meant to go on the front pto but modified to work next to the motor. I'll look into making it fit against the front pto so it could truly be a quick mount and i wouldn't have to touch the bosch pump at all.

thanks!

I was looking around on ebay and noticed that hydraulic actuators from John Deere 312, 317, etc models appear to be Identical to a Gt14 or d series lift cylinder. My question is would a new cylinder from ebay be able to replace one that is on a gt14 or d series?

Images below of cylinders to show similaritys.

My friction disc in gone on my clutch.  I saw the old post about making a new friction disc, so I'm not concerned about that.
I managed to remove the front clutch plate and double v-belt pulley.  But I can't separate the two.  When I took the assembly off the spiraloc washer popped off on its own.  I HAVE READ THE MANUALS.
So I should be able to just remove the pulley from the front clutch and continue with step 4.  The v-belt pulley is loose as all hell and flops around like a dead fish.  It seems to be hung up on a ring or bearing race.
So my thoughts are grab a BFH or sparky the blue tip wrench.
Is there an unpublished step 3.5, or some trick?

      Hey all,

My '74 D180 has a lot of trouble pushing snow.  Weighted tires, but nothing else at this time.  I've found it gets stuck frequently and only one wheel spins.  Do these tractors not have a limited slip/locker arrangement?  How does everyone manage with the infamous one wheel peel?

Hey all, I need to install a drive belt on my 75 D180 for my snowblower.  I've looked through a bunch of D-series owner's manuals, and none seem to mention replacement procedure.  The PTO pulley is fixed, save for engaging the PTO and there is minimal movement at the snowthrower pulley. There's no idler or tensioner as far as I can tell.  Do I have to remove the PTO pulley?  That seems to be a required service item.
Same question for my 80 D200 as well really.

      Using the recommended 4L490W belt.

      Thanks

I got a D-180 for $250, and the governor is messed up, the points won't open or close, and I took it apart and was being stupid and messed some stuff up in there, and now I need a new one.
Where can I get one that's not on eBay for $200?
I also forgot to say it was a Kohler K482, and I'll throw some pictures of the tractor in as a treat.
