D200 transmission

Recommended Posts

Hello...New to this forum, but I have a 1975 D200 and the coupling and the transmission shaft both stripped out at the same time..I located a new shaft and have reinstalled it..My problem is I can not locate the correct seal. The one that cross references doesnt seem to be a high pressure seal and of course it leaks.Does anyone know where i can purchase the correct one..All help appreciated.

Toro number 7877 equates to National 480821 or CR 7474. CR 7475 has a double lip same size. Which one did you use? This is not a high pressure setting. the pump housing is merely a reservoir for the charge pump. Any pressurized area would have to use O rings not just a seal.

We used the CR7474..We were not able to locate a CR7475. We were concerned that it was only a single seal but were told it would be ok. Do you know where we could purchase a CR7475? Thanks for your help..Truly appreciated..

Is this it?

Here is an ebay search for that seal:

http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=7475+Seal&_sacat=&_dmpt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&_odkw=7475&_osacat=0&bkBtn=&_trksid=p4506.m270.l1313

Mods - sorry about the ebay links. I hope it doesn't cause any problems. If so, let me know and I will remove it.

James

The more i look at the seal profile on 7475 to me it looks like the outer seal edge is designed to keep dirt out rather than oil in....

Was the shaft surface where the seal rides in good shape???

Sorry about upload picture for some reason it turns teh back ground black but look at the small white box.
