Thanks all! When I saw this come up on MTF first it really peaked my interest. I didn't have the nerve to call and ask how much. A few days later Steve called and asked if I saw it on Redsquare. I said to myself, if I don't buy this now, who knows when another one will come up for sale. Called Bill the next morning and spoke to him about it. I showed the wife the classified ad and told her how much. She said " buy it because I know how long you have wanted one" :woohoo: . Couldn't believe she actually said it.

It's safe and sound in the garage and I still can't believe it's really mine. Right now it's just gonna get cleaned up and running. I believe it has been painted once before but can't be sure.

It will be making it's debut at this years WHCC show. Yes, I will be there!

Did you pinch yourself a few times on the way home just to make sure you weren't dreaming? Man the rims are wicked cool.

You're back for a while now, that's going to be a hard one to let go.

Glad you're back in the WH saddle again and I'm looking forward to seeing you and the tractor at the show.

I would have crashed from starring into the rearview mirror the whole drive home!

Let's be honest..... you never really left, you just needed to adjust your meds, by one Senior.

Isn't that what we all need once in a while? An old guy to kick us back in line? Congrats on finding your old guy Jeff.

I spent a little time today just getting the road grime off from hauling it back 200 miles in the rain. This also came with a bottom plow and cultivator. In the future I am going to have a mold made of the hood so I can create another one and use that when it travels so the original doesn't get beat up. Haven't fired it up yet but the urge to drive it is driving me crazy!

I went on the Wisconsin Engine website and they have a serial number lookup search engine that showed the engine in this tractor as being manufactured in January of 1954. I know the Ponds didn't use serial numbers on these tractors but at least I know for sure it's either a 54' or 55'. I was able to download manuals for the engine and magneto. I have zero experience with Wisconsin Engines and very limited with magnetos.

Great looking tractor..... I noticed on the left rear wheel that there appears to be an extra support strap inside by the hub of the wheel, is that something of an extra support?...

Nice tractor!

Seniors are a lot of fun to drive. They really haul in third gear by the way.

As a word of caution, when you first start the tractor up make sure you have the wheels chocked against something or have the brakes applied well. Cold gear oil circulating in the transmission is enough to drive these suckers forward even when in neutral. You'll be especially mindful of this unique trait if you walk away from an idling tractor and see it slowly take off across the yard!

Congrats!

Steve
