608KEB 795 #1 Posted June 1, 2012 I Bought a 1974 B-100 a few weeks ago. Here are a few pictures. I bought it from the 2nd owner who had it for last 8 years. I am going to use it as a worker for now. Everything works well and the tractor was always maintained both owners actually kept all the records. Besides the 37" snow thrower and tire chains it also comes with a 36" side discharge deck. The tires are original too. I plan on cleaning it up, buffing and painting a few of the parts that need it. I'll post some more pictures when I'm done.

farmer 1,075 #11 Posted June 1, 2012 That looks to be a very straight and clean tractor, I remember a post a while ago that showed a tractor with the seat springs fitted on the other way around, doesn't look so comfy. Do you prefer it that way? :)
KC9KAS 4,741 #12 Posted June 1, 2012 Very nice looking tractor!
Ken B 3,164 #13 Posted June 1, 2012 That is a nice clean original machine. I'm with you, clean it up and maybe spray the few parts that may need them. Don't go crazy though or you will wind up with a tractor that looks like it was half repainted. :ychain:

bean 85 #17 Posted June 1, 2012 that is nice! I really like the Bs. what type of weights are those? I haven't seen flush mount concrete weights before(if that is what they are)
546cowboy 301 #18 Posted June 1, 2012 Really nice find the two previous owners took very good care of it. It doesn't look like you need to do anything to it. :woohoo:
608KEB 795 #19 Posted June 3, 2012 It is original paint, no dents. some scratches on the hood and fenders, but nothing to bad. I'm going to switch the seat springs back around. The only parts I plan to paint is the battery tray and flywheel screen. I may bead blast and powder coat the rims. I'm not sure yet. I've had good luck with a 1975 B-80 I bought last summer from a one owner. I wet sanded some of the tin parts with 2000 grit and used Mequires #2,#1 rubbing compounds to bring the finish back. It worked well, I posted some pictures of the B-80 last winter. The paint was thin in a few spots so I was careful as to how much paint I took off. I was going to do the same to the B-100.
