1maidenfan 202 #1 Posted May 29, 2012 I believe that the guy in MO. that has / had all the NOS wheel horses has a couple of them for sale on ebay. I remember a post on here about this guy and thought he is / was a member. I sent a message to see what his asking price is, as he says it is listed else where? Maybe craigslist. Thought he might post them here but have yet to see them. Just thought I would pass that info on to others.

JamesBe1 82 #3 Posted May 29, 2012 I'd like to know what the asking price of the D-200 is too. BTW, what is the rationale behind no ebay links? James
Wheel Horse Kid 105 #4 Posted May 29, 2012 I'd like to know what the asking price of the D-200 is too. BTW, what is the rationale behind no ebay links? James I would like to know the answers to both questions too.
Dockfishin 51 #5 Posted May 29, 2012 It's easy to find just search d200 wheel horse NOS I've heard the explanation and still don't get it on eBay links. but that's up to the mods to decide
1maidenfan 202 #6 Posted May 29, 2012 Trying to get the guy to tell me what he wants for it, he sent me his phone # and asked me to call. This was late last night so possibly today some time I will call? If I find out I will post.
AMC RULES 37,132 #7 Posted May 29, 2012 Both really nice examples, will be interesting to see what the ebay offering will do to the final sale price.
Brrly1 1,146 #8 Posted May 29, 2012 Undoubtly these are Rick's tractors.Looks like he must be parting with a few of them. Ask if the person's name is Rick and why is he selling? Just curious?
546cowboy 301 #9 Posted May 29, 2012 I went looking for these and didn't find them until I searched for NOS Wheel Horse. That D-200 must have sat outside for more than a little while. It's amazing to see these NOS tractors showing up on RS every now and then. How do people resist using these tractors all these years? There are more bids on the 12 Auto than on the D-200 guess everybody figures they will have to go pretty high to get to the reserve on the 200.
JamesBe1 82 #10 Posted May 29, 2012 Is that the one in Lawson MO with 16 hours on it? If so, something doesn't seem right. The hood looks newer than the grill and the dash. Some of the hardware is obviously new and some old. Different parts seem to have aged differently than others. Shouldn't the seat have a wheel horse logo on it? The finish mower looks fantastic. CasualObserver 3,408 #11 Posted May 29, 2012 what is the rationale behind no ebay links? Simple... to keep the peace. Our Wheel Horse collecting world is fairly small, and nothing starts a fight faster than bickering about prices and who stole what from whom at the last minute or who missed out on a great deal because somebody else thought an item was selling too cheap so they broadcast it for everyone's attention. Or another case... someone starts picking on someone's ebay description or item... only to find out they're making fun of another member, who chose to not post his ebay item on the forum. So to keep the peace, we avoid it. (and ebay links are allowed if it's your item and you want to advertise it.) If Rick wants his ebay links here... he will post them.

Yeah that's what I thought. It sure doesn't look NOS. But it sure is something that it has only 16 hours on it.

I would still be very interested in buying it if it were closer.
can whlvr 993 #15 Posted May 29, 2012 well rick had a very large fleet of horses and a fair number of nos machines,so i would think he knows whats nos or not,and the 14 looks amazing,i think often these machines come from old dealers stashing them away for a rainy day and that day is when the person gats a chance to buy a nos machine

Irv 115 #19 Posted May 31, 2012 I thought all of Rick's tractors were sold at auction because of a divorce.
dcrage 628 #20 Posted May 31, 2012 Not all of the tractors sold at the auction (not sure why, the ones I saw reported as "not sold" went thru before I got there); I don't think all of his collection was on the block that day; and my understanding was that Rick bought some of them back
