fourwheels0 191 #26 Posted June 6, 2012 well we put a starter in "frank" and he has numerous other issues so he's going by-by. it's on c/list in Virginia. solenoid's bad,fuel pump i think is bad,electrical issues ect,ect. CRE1992 135 #29 Posted June 6, 2012 easy, disconnect all of the electrical, run 12v to the coil, and ground the block to the battery. Then give her a yank, if she starts your okay, if not idk what to tell you... new points and condenser. fourwheels0 191 #30 Posted June 7, 2012 ya i guess i should at least get it to run. then maybe i can break even on this deal. it cost me way too much to go get it. oh'well live and learn i guess lol. problem i have is most people in my area don't want to pay anything for wheel horse stuff. you list something for $300 and they want to give you $125. maybe i need to move hahaha. fourwheels0 191 #31 Posted June 9, 2012 well it looks like the old 16hp kohler needs a rebuild. she just won't run for nothing. well we gave it the ol college try. if the parts don't sell first i'll most likely be bringing an 8 speed rear end,wheel weights and wheels and tires to the show.
