What is my 97 520LXI worth?

Recommended Posts

We're downsizing and I've reluctantly decided to sell my 520 LXI tractor. Its in great shape, has 314 hours, and is equipped with a 44" mulching deck and vacuum bagger. This tractor has the liquid cooled Kawasaki Vtwin (great motor!). Well maintained and runs great. Does anyone have an idea of what its worth?post-7426-0-46565100-1337540597_thumb.jp

I really would like to keep it, but am downsizing and going into a condo for a little bit. My dad had a couple Wheel Horses too, so I definitely have a soft spot for them, including the pic of me sitting on his brand new '65 10 hp. I won't give it away, thats for sure, cost over 7k with attachments new. I just am not sure where I can store it for now.

Wow I love the pic of the shiny new 1055, with the odd ball RM425 deck, as for the 520lxi, i would guess around here in the $2500 range maybe a bit more

I just bought a 522xi this spring in excellent shape with 175 hours and a 52" deck. I paid $2000 for the tractor and mower and paid another $600 to add a factory bagger .

Your liquid cooled motor should fetch a couple hundred more in the plus the bagger should add another $300-$400. So yeah, in the Midwest, I'd say $2500. However, you are located in CT. Not sure why, but Wheel Horses always tend to go for more on the east coast. Maybe add another $500 or so in just becuase of your location. Somehwere around $3000

I seen you have it listed on Ebay. Seeing where the bid is now, I'm sure you'll get $2500 for it and then some.

Wow that is a real nice color shot of the 1055, now I want to pull my 655 apart and strip the parts I painted and have them plated :banana-rock:

thanks for all your input guys, pretty satisfied with the price I got, but I'm going to hate to see it go. Hopefully in a couple years, I can replace it with another one, I'd get the same exact tractor, maybe the diesel.
