Hi,

Actually I've never seen a B-series wheelhorse for sale in Belgium. What you mean with RER's?

Hi.. B series were built in Oevel.... RER'S is Rear Engine Rider. The models built were the 100 series.

Hi.. B series is a formed sheet chassis... C series is the traditional gardening tractor with cast iron beam chassis.

From WH perspective, B series is a lawn tractor, gear box is Peerless. C series is Garden Tractor - I.e. ground engaging, where the full range

Of attachments can be fitted. :-)

Hi,

I see now! I thought you ment B-100's. The formed sheet chassis like the B-111 and B-112 are plenty for sale over here. Rear engine riders also.

Ok so here it is.......(nearest to camera alongside my C-120 auto)

C100-2.jpg

and the Amnor ID plate

C100-5.jpg

In the US the model number 71-10K801 was a 1977 B-100 8 speed tractor but if assembled as a 71-10K8 in Belgium it was badged and marketed as a C-100. The C-100 model in the US had actually been dropped after 1975.

I hadn't given it a lot of thought till now and just assumed that it was a marketing strategy but having read this thread I suspect now it may have been to pave the way for the B-111 in 1978 at which point the B series became vertical shaft engined lawn tractors with a pressed steel chassis and Peerless transaxle. The Amnor B-100 badged as a C-100 was of course a traditional garden tractor with horizontal shaft Kohler and Unidrive transaxle.

Whatever the reason behind this masquerade it does kind of explain why you don't see many B-100 tractors in Europe. They hide behind a C-100 badge.

Hope this makes some sense.

Andy

Hi ... Machines look good, B100 traditional gen tractor is relatively rare in Europe I think, I haven't come across many I must admit.

The B series vertical shaft was very popular and during the late '80's and '90's represented 30% - 35% of new sales... The unit that I really liked was the LCLT units produced (low cost lawn tractor), new chassis 212-5 & 212H using a Kawasaki engine, had an electric PTO....

Been restoring my 312-8 and using a new paint range, Farmline Paint.... They do Wheel Horse red, looks like the original red as well. I know we always used to suggest Ford Venetian Red as a near match for WH red... Trouble is my 36" RD mower has pitted shell... And guess these should be filled and smoothed over first before spraying... Any suggestions....? :-)

I know the B's aren't universally accepted (not kohler syndrome) but my dads had a few, and the B-111 he has now for running around the garden starts on the first turn of the crank. The Briggs engine works great if not a little thirsty!

btw is that specific wh red? we are using international red as a close match...

International Red will suffice, I know... as will Ford Ventian Red. I sell the Farmline Paint as the dist for the UK. What I did was supply the paint manufacturer a slither off of a Wheel Horse tractor and got them to match it. As a WH fan you'll probably know the change in colour from the old WH to the TORO WH red paints... At the end of the day -you pays your money and takes your choice, as the saying goes.

Hi,

I also got two cans of old wheelhorse red from farmline. I'm not sure if I needed the new or old red but I don't like the old red that much.

Looking to find a new home for my 84 (I think) C-145. It has a dump trailer with the enclosure for leaves, the PTO impeller to get the leafs into the trailer, the hoses for deck-to-impeller, impeller-to-trailer.

I haven’t run it in over a year.
The battery and the cable to the battery probably need to be replaced.
Comes with a new head gasket still in the bag.
Seat is cracked but still comfortable.

Happy to answer questions or take other pictures.

I’m looking for wheel horse tractors for sale or for parts in the Eastern Nebraska or western Iowa area. Preferably 8 speed manuals. Pm me or comment with what you have. The worst I could say is it’s out of my price or distance range. Edit: engine is not important, it’s going to get an engine swap.
      Thanks,
      John

Hello all. I am looking for suggestions on adapting the pto from my C series tractor to a harbor freight predator 420 13hp engine. I know the predator motors are a controversial topic however it is the route I have chosen for this particular machine. The intent was to mostly use it for plowing so no PTO required but it would be handy to have. Looking to hear from someone that has successfully done the swap that may offer any advice before I attempt to transfer it over. Just looking for any general pointers that will help me along the way to make it go as smoothly as possible.

1979 c-101 nice project tractor just needs a few odds and ends, steering wheel, coil, carburetor bowl, the wiring was redone by previous owner....all 4 tires are good and hold air it goes into all gears no problem, transmission fluid has been changed, 10hp Kohler, message me or call or txt with any questions, it does run and runs well,  it’s been kept inside since I’ve had it, I would also trade for a mid mount grader blade thanks
