Ken B 3,164 #26 Posted May 22, 2012 I want all of the paint to match so I'm going to repaint the entire tractor. As an assembled unit, or do you plan to blow it apart? I will paint the hood, engine, fenders and all other smaller parts separate. I'll pull all four tires off and put it on jack stands and then paint it with the diff in it with some Resto Series paint thru my HVLP gun. I need to straighten the hood out a little and smooth out some pitting in the frame. My goal is for it to be a nice worker that I can cut some grass with and maybe push some snow around and not have to worry too much.
squonk 41,167 #27 Posted May 22, 2012 Speaking of dog muffins. I picked up a C-160 parts tractor last Friday. The guy who had it had 5 dogs and a hay lot for a yard. He was in the process of cutting it. He said I could drive on his yard and back up to the tractor with my trailer. As I was turning I had the drivers window down and was looking at my left wheel to make sure I had lots of room near a tree stump. Phew!!! I had run over a ripe one! :hide: Did you lose traction!?! 4 wheel drive was on. :)
