Free - Wheel Horse Transmission..

Recommended Posts

thomas

I have a Trans (8540 ? ) or some number like that. I know nothing about this Trans. -- Other than I can't use it on my RJ. and therefor have no use for it. But feel another Wheel Horse'er could. Again, I know nothing about this other than the axel's do turn.

I am offering it here, free - but you wil need to pay shipping. Its heavy, like maybe $80 to 100 ?? depending on location. If no one is interested, ill put it on Ebay. Email me @ TooHarley@aol.com (Picture attached.)

Actually, that looks like it could be a 5025 Uni-drive. You need to show a side picture of where the brake drum is mounted to be more accurate. It has the short axles, is a 3 speed with reverse, just need to be sure where the brake drum is mounted. Looks like it is mounted on the 11/44 tooth gear. If so, it will fit 502, 552, 702, 32F, 32R, 33E, 33R, 603, 633, 653, 753, 854, and 1045. Hope that helps. :)

All of the castings for the Wheel Horse transmissions are pretty much the same...especially the shallow side. The major differences are the axle length, where the brake drum mounts, where that mount is on the casting, the does it have the hi/low shifter, axle diameter, and the mounting bolt pattern. Any other differences are internal. :)
