On My way to Buffalo to start bringing home my son's stuff from college. I looked in the mirror and saw this:

Well Hot-Diggity-Dog! I've been looking for a spare motor and hydro for my C-160. And there they are! Complete with a 42" SD deck.Tractor's been sitting for a couple of years, but the hydro oil is clean and the motor is free. Turns out to be a 75 tractor with a 79 C-161 hydro unit. The overall condition fits right in with my Fred G. Sanford Memorial Trailer! Had to dig out some spare wheels to get the thing back off and rolled into the shop.

That doesn't look like a parts tractor to me! That looks like a keeper! You changed the tires, and wheels around a little during the time you were taking those pics. I like it!

looks great Mike! Sanford and Son !! LOL I had a friend who had a truck we called the Sanford mobile. no inside door panels and if you wanted to open your window, you had to pass around the single window crank!!

Started tearing things apart. Gas tank full of lady bugs, Sand in the carb, .wrong drive belt so you can't disengage the hydro, steering whipped from the upper shaft to the spindles. Since I'm either going to rebuild this or use for spares for my current 160, the motor's coming off next and will be overhauled.

Believe it or not, I contacted the guy who owned it within a few hours of it being posted on CL. I was 6th in line! I waited until the first guy was supposed to be there. When I called, 2 guys had been there and didn't want it! The price was $150. 2 other guys cancelled. I bought it sight unseen with pay pal right then and there.

I know. Try to find a K341 for less than that plus a hydro tranny and all the other goodies! These wheels were on the back of it. Don't look like to me but I could be wrong.

Dang Mike, they always clean up real nice...you buy them for parts and end up looking for parts for them. What a great hobby for a collector. + = Congratulations Mike...always good to drive around with an empty trailer... :happy-jumpeveryone:
