Raider 12 hi/lo shifter

Stuck in lo - any ideas? Hi/Lo shifter loose not engaging.

At least it's moving!

sure sounds like a shifter fork,that happened to mine years ago(308,not a raider)and the fork had jumped off the collar that it slides into to move the gear,i had let someone use her and i think they forced the shifter

Carl...looks like you may have to go into that trans. Before you do, there are some real good threads with pictures of what you are up against. Not a hard job with the help we have here on Red Square. Try doing a search in this section, or tomorrow I can find the links for you and post them. Do not force that shifter. Check back here tomorrow.

Thanks - I figured I would have to go into the transmission. the trans in lo range - the normal gears work OK. The hi/lo shifter itself is loose - flopping around.

Did you check to see if the roll pin that holds the shifter to the shaft coming out of the transmission is not broken.
