gwgdog66 23 #2 Posted March 29, 2012 Lock the lever, and tighten the bottom nut, until it holds. Cool tractor and video by the way
bowtiebutler956 650 #3 Posted March 29, 2012 Scot you're correct, the nut on the bottom of the brake band is the one you need to tighten. Try tightening that first, and if it still doesn't catch you may need a new lining. Matt :flags-texas:
sscotsman 170 #4 Posted March 29, 2012 Thanks Gary & Matt! I figured it would be something like that..but I thought it would be better to ask first before I go messing with things, without having any idea what im doing! so thanks..I will adjust things tomorrow and report back! gwgdog66 23 #5 Posted March 29, 2012 No problem Scot, it should be just tight enough to skid the wheels in neutral when you push it.
AMC RULES 37,141 #6 Posted March 29, 2012 Looks like lots of oil leaking onto that brake drum as well, might want to look to see if your axle seal is leaking, and cleaning up the drum while your down there too. Oh yeah, about the questons in video format? Great idea Scot.
wp205a 43 #7 Posted December 4, 2012 Thanks Scott, and if anyone has an extra parking brake lever, and that cover you removed, I need both.
buckrancher 2,694 #8 Posted December 4, 2012 Scott you may need to add some flat washers if you run out of adjustment brian
wp205a 43 #9 Posted December 4, 2012 And thanks to your video, since I don't have the cover I can just rig up a bracket to utilize the parking brake,(I love this forum).
wp205a 43 #10 Posted December 5, 2012 I just posted a picture of a Cushman Truckster parking brake lock. If I could get the specs on an 854 pb lever, maybe I could make one starting with it?
Kelly 1,030 #11 Posted December 5, 2012 Send me a PM, I should have the park brake handle, and I know I have the side cover.
wp205a 43 #12 Posted December 5, 2012 And I just posted another pic showing what I think to be an uncorrectly assembled brake assy. Fun times. (No, I got it that way) :ychain:
wp205a 43 #13 Posted December 6, 2012 I've been told I have a later uni drive on my 854. 2 Pics are just below the shout box now, and are in my gallery. Anybody have pics showing their solution to my problem?
