bleeding a Eaton 700 pump

Recommended Posts

Title says it, I got a new/used pump from a member here for my neighbors Dad, for his 516 with a eaton 700, I was told it only holds about a quart of fluid, but what is the best way to bleed the air from the pump? or for that matter how do you fill it with out taking a day to do so?

I took the pluge out of the top and used a funnel, turn the drive pulley by hand to work most of the air out. Put it back in the tractor, filled the little tank and ran it. Checked the tank and refilled it. Dont know what more i can tell you....later Wayne
