Not to be contrary but I'd have to say that depends on the passenger. 3

Achto 27,601 #2291 Posted April 19, 2021 Helped my brother bring home a Massey Harris 44 with a trip bucket on it. If you've ever loaded a tractor that doesn't run & has a front end loader on it, you can imagine the fun that we had. 6 1

Achto 27,601 #2294 Posted April 19, 2021 1 hour ago, Handy Don said: And nope, I can't imagine the fun. The tractor was parked in a shed with a sand floor. It had been parked there for ? years with the bucket stabbed into the ground. Lots of cribbing used to keep a jack from pushing into the ground as we tried to raise the bucket up. We were finally able to get the bucket up high enough and then wedged some steel in the rams to keep them from collapsing. Then of course when we pulled it on to the trailer, the bucket still was not quite high enough. Some lifting with crow bars got it to clear enough to get it on though. All in all nothing but 2hrs of good times, just to load a tractor.

I think that you already know who will have to get it running. He paid about half of what you spent on your recent haul.
c-series don 8,720 #2298 Posted April 20, 2021 Brought home the 418-C that was in the classified section here. It came with a 42” side discharge deck, Trac Vac vacuum, Brinly tow behind de-thatcher and a Jackson tow behind cart. Drove an hour to the ferry, hour and a half ferry ride to Connecticut, two plus hours to Massachusetts. Picked up a brand new battery on the way in hopes of driving this baby onto the trailer. Nope. Engine seized up tight as a crabs ass. I honestly think that owner didn’t know this. He knew that my son in law and I just spent over $200 bucks for the ferry and were not expecting a tractor with a locked up motor. So we negotiated a new price and brought it home. I’m going to soak it with marvel mystery oil for a few days and hopefully break it free. I really hope it works because the tractor is in really nice shape. 700+ hours on the working hour meter. 2
