ZXT 2,401 #1652 Posted September 15, 2019 (edited) Hauled this little 85 D100 short bed up to a local swap meet yesterday and today. I think I have 6 of these trucks and I really don't need that many. They follow me home like WH's do for some people. Bought it from a guy who was going to put a small block chevy in it (sacrilege, IMO). He threw away the AC and heater box, every piece of trim on the truck and scrapped the engine and trans. I threw a Magnum 318 and 5 speed manual overdrive in it and got it running Thursday evening. Took it to the swap meet and I only had one guy interested in it.. and he offered me half of what I was asking. Fairly sad swap meet. Half of the spaces were empty and the foot traffic was nearly non existent. Got home and saw a text from the guy I got my Porsche 928 from a month or so ago saying he's looking for a truck project. ZXT 2,401 #1654 Posted September 20, 2019 Well, turns out the guy that was going to look at it was looking for a project for his 2 sons, and they both decided that they want a ford instead (some peoples kinds, right? LOL). I've done a bit more work to it the last few days and I'm starting to like the truck. I might call and put insurance on it tomorrow, put antique plates on it (Like $60 for 5 years registration and no inspection) and sort it out some. I do need a few parts, well then just throw it on here. 😂 Hoods a little crooked because the motor has been replaced (locked up) But at least the PO didn’t cut the hood.
