meadowfield 2,570 #1 Posted March 14, 2012 As mentioned before - it's taken a while on my behalf but I'm now legal to drive on the road in the UK. Those kind folks at Toro gave me a letter to prove my tractor was built in Belgium and was genuine... I've managed to get it insured and with all the necessary forms I went to my local vehicle licensing office last friday. I thought it might have been a bit tricky and sometimes you have to prove import taxes, etc were paid... The very nice lady went through all my docs and said no problem, docs will come in the post in the next 7-10 days. 5 days later here it is ! I won't be driving far might have to look at speeding things up...

WH Raider10 17 #9 Posted March 14, 2012 I drive my WheelHorse all the time on the street overhere. Never had someone made a problem of it. Cool you got it legal Mark! What do you need to do to your wheelhorse to make it road legal? Is it only possible in the UK?
meadowfield 2,570 #10 Posted March 14, 2012 UK law requires it to be marked with a registration number and insured. Agricultural vehicles are free from annual testing (MOT checks) and road licence (annual vehicle tax). In principal very simple to do - in practice a lot of red tape and forms to fill in ! SousaKerry 501 #11 Posted March 14, 2012 Here in the states all you need is a Slow Moving Vehicle sign and you take anything on the road as long as it's not a controlled access highway.
