I got the tires in today. :woohoo: Two 400x8 ags, and one 350x6 tri-rib. This should complete the miro size real tractor look. :ychain:

Just when I thought we were finished. As many of you know this little tractor had headlights on it when I was a kid, that my dad had installed for me. I chose not to put headlights on it, because it made it look more original. Well, the other day Danny was looking at the headlights that are on my B-80, and he said "I was wondering what happened to headlights that use to be on my tractor, but now I know what happened". I said oh yeh, what happened to them? He said " you put them on your tractor". :scared-eek: That made me feel really bad, and I said, no I didn't. I told him the old ones were long gone. Well I got to thinking, and I said " do you want headlights Danny?" His face lite up. and he said yes. Well this is his tractor, and not mine, so we have headlights, and a set of old fashoned bullet tailights. I only had to drill two small 5/16 holes in the grill for the headlights, and I used the existing factory rear mounting tabs for the tailights. The engine is a magneto ignition, so it doesn't use the ignition switch for anything, but starting, so I wired the lights to the switch. Anyway, here are some pics. Danny, and I had our first night time ride yesterday, and he loved it!

Hard to believe you could give that tractor even more personality.

Danny is right, it looks even cooler now Matt.

Hydraulics? :scared-eek: They would weigh more than the whole tractor does. :ROTF:

Thanks Craig, I thought they turned out pretty well too. Kinda looks like a little kid with really big eyes! :ychain:

something like this would be a fabulous addition to the tractor, and he could use it to scoop up the stuff that he is running over...or maybe you could build an FEL on a similar principle...

I'm not sure how Danny would feel about being the designated pooper scooper! :ROTF:

Small price to pay for a cool tractor like that. Gotta earn your keep son.

I can just see him now...talk about "big eyes" :huhs:

The seat on Danny's tractor is way to big for his rear, and from the factory they came with a much smaller cast seat pan. Well Daryel over at rare garden tractors reproduces them, so I ordered one today. :woohoo: Should be a real nice finishing touch.

Thanks Guys! Danny and I are both very excited. Thought I'd post a pic of the new Bantam seat, it fits Danny's rear much better, and is a great reproduction of the original. I'll show a before, and after pic so you can see the difference.

I thought I'd pull this thread out of the mothballs long enough to show you guys what came in the mail today. I got my issue of LAGT Magazine in the mail today, and there was Danny's tractor sitting right next to the Lady Ranger! (whfan74, or Scott). :woohoo: My son was so excited he took off with the magazine to his friends house to show them. :ROTF: This really is a priveledge to be in LAGT, and a real honor to be sitting next to the Lady Ranger. Both tractors were built for our kids, and I can't think of a better thing to do for our kids in these days of hi tech stuff! I would like to say a special thanks to Kate over at LAGT, who is sending me some extra copies, which is good, because Danny is going to wear this one out! :ychain:

Wheel-N-It

Congragulations to you Matt, and to Danny. I am looking for my issue to be in the mailbox any day now.

Ms. Kate at LAGT Magazine is a really nice lady. I have e-mailed her with a question, and she got right back to me the next day. I was very impressed with that, and her personable reply. I like doing business with people like her.

Anyway, your tractor build is really fine, and I look forward to your next project!

Van
