Prater 75 #1 Posted March 4, 2012 If you remember I added a straight pipe to my 416-8 a few years back. I had a detailed account on RS from the adapter plate to the finished pipe. It has been too loud for me the last few times and I finally found a muffler that would fit the 2" exhaust pipe. It was a Stanley muffler made for a John Deere. JD-8 was the model. Here are a few pics of the install, I still need to get a 2" pipe clamp to finish. The only thing I am not sure about is the muffler height. I like were I have it now but I think the muffler can looks a little strange with the bottom higher than the top of the hood...let me know what you think so far. The before pics ready to remove some of the pipe I hope it works cause there no going back now New Exhaust with the Stanley Muffler
Wheel-N-It 2,968 #2 Posted March 4, 2012 Actually I really like it this way. It looks like a factory design. Can't go wrong with that.

Prater 75 #6 Posted March 4, 2012 Its a transplant hood. I think the steering is stronger on the blackhood. That elbow is mandrel bent header pipe from my race car parts tig welded to a 1/2 steel plate. I can swing from it...
