McCormick Deering Wheel Horse

Recommended Posts

KC9KAS

My brother-in-law is into the old single cylinder hit & miss engines.

He recently mounted a 1 1/2 HP McComick Deering on some type of Wheel Horse. It turned out pretty good, but the ground speed is a little slow. Due to the engine rotating the opposite direction, he had to add a "jack-shaft" to the tractor. By changing pulleys he can change the speed.

Here are a few pictures.

Wife actually took a video with her new "smart-phone", but she is having technical difficulties!

Thats pretty cool. Here is a picture of my 854 with a 1930 fairbanks morse stationary 1/2 horse. I bought this the way it is so don't blame me for the green paint. Jake

He's got a clutch...it's a hand clutch...black handle with his left hand. You can hear the sheet metal rattle when he disengages it.
