GlenPettit 1,717 #4 Posted March 1, 2012 In mid 1961, the position of the cables was changed on the 701 dash, to the outside positions to reduce the breaking and stress on the first plastic dash used by Wheel Horse, the inside two openings are slightly larger, 21/32"ID, and the outside two openings are 18/32"ID on the newer/later dash (for the two cables). (The ignition must be 2nd from right). Almost all 701 dashes have broke & cracked over time. The 701 Dash you just purchased from us is the newer/later version.
