WH854 44 #2 Posted February 27, 2012 hello all anyone here know if a wheel-a-matic model 5052 hydro transaxle from a model 875 (1965) tractor would work as a replacement on a wheelhorse model gt14 (probably 1969) ? thanks for any info Toro says the Sundstrand model# for the 875 is 7100077 and the GT14 is model# is 90-2062 they are both pre74 tractors. That is all I can tell you, stick around some one will come along and help you, lots of knowledgeable folks on here Chas
sorekiwi 761 #3 Posted February 28, 2012 I am 99% sure that the 875 trans has 1" axles, you need a trans with the 1 1/8 axles. I am also fairly sure that the GT14 trans is unique to the GT14.
Trouty56 567 #4 Posted February 28, 2012 Are you asking if the hydro pump and motor from the GT-14 would fit on the 875 tranny to be used in the GT-14?? That 875's 5052 tranny only has 1" axles and that GT-14 is a big tractor.

squonk 41,334 #8 Posted March 3, 2012 How about an older Sunstrand Hydrogear pump and motor bolting up to like a 76 C-160 with the Sundstrand Piston - Piston style? I'm looking for a spare pump and motor to keep on the shelf. Hope to buy one at the show this year.
refracman 167 #9 Posted March 3, 2012 The trans cases are the same castings but the frame attachment holes are in different locations. The trans gear ratio also is different in the GT14, the final drive gear on the pump/ motor assembly and the matching gear in the trans are unique to it. The C160 pump/ motor assembly will not work either without the WH conversion kit. I have a GT14 with the conversion as does another member. but you can take a hydrogear pump and install it on a GT14 valve assembly.
