If everyone comes in on schedule I should be done in about a month. I'm the electrician on this one and I got started this weekend with the wiring. My framing/roofing and siding crew is really moving along fast. Siding starts next week. Theres very little plumbing to do and then insulation, sheetrock, flooring and paint.

Of course my tractor time has been almost zero lately. I had hoped to post a pic of my snow-removal team like Karl did but so far I only have one tractor ready to go and thats only because I never removed the plow or weights :D from last year.

I'd be running some RG-6 to put Satellite TV out there, then you can get a Big Screen TV in there, and watch some RFDTV while working on the tractors! And get some big ole lights in there!

Mike that looks awsome!! :D I'm quite jealous, and I just added on to my garage last year. (went from a one car to a two, and just this weekend I spent LOTS of time rearranging so that a car actually gets to sleep in there when the snow comes!! Sometime I'll share photos of that, they're somewhere on a cd... I previously had one outlet piggybacked off the living room on the other side of the wall. When we added on, we ran a 60 amp sub-panel with a 240 electric heater and insulated the whole thing. I'm in heaven!! :P I foresee many good tractor days in your future!! Look forward to more pictures.

Don't forget to run all the air lines around for your pneumatic tools, and wire it all up for 220 so you can weld. CAT 5 wiring for your high speed internet, and a water line for the bathroom and fridge. Speaker wires for surround sound. Don't forget the ventilation for when you're painting :D !

Gee Mike, we could make this cost you alot! :P LOL!

It looks great! I'm jealous! I've kept 6 tractors in a 12 x 16 foot building most of the time!

Dont worry its allready gonna cost me alot. The garage is'nt going to be insulated or sheetrocked just yet. I will do that at my own pace next year which will give me a chance to "settle in" and see where I want everything set-up. I'm doing the wiring and this weekend I put in a 100amp sub-panel so I'll have plenty of power. I also have to feed the 18x14 room between the garage and the house.

I have a 160,000 BTU kerosene salamander heater coming in a couple of weeks so that is my heat for this winter. The garage is 36' wide and 28' deep with 8' trusses on a 10' wall so its 18' to the peak which equals=====hard to heat!

Thanks for the compliments guys!!

And don't forget to set up a little space for another computer, internet access, so you can interface with us guys from the "Red Square" while being close to the horses.

Mike, hope that the recent cold spell doesn't slow down the progress.

The garage doors are the only thing thats takin some time to get. We decided to put glass in the doors and that had to be ordered so maybe next week they'll go up. Sheetrock is going on Saturday(better eat some Wheaties :D )

Looks great! Wish I were a little closer (and the weather warmer) I'd be there swing a hammer with ya. Of course I'd pay for the damage of swinging that hammer too... :D

When I used to help my dad do capenter work, he called me "Lightning". Not because I was fast, it was because I never struck twice in the same spot :P

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Stephen, the loft door is just for looks and to break up the expanse of never ending vinyl siding.

I might actually stick a tractor in it this weekend since the vinyl siding crew is gone and their stuff went with em.
