TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #3 Posted February 18, 2012 :WRS: "64 1055 6 speed" is an invalid combination. Any possible way of getting pictures posted here will be a huge help, and knowing exactly what you have will certainly help all of us - including yourself. HorseWhisperer 243 #7 Posted February 18, 2012 67 12 horse with a 241 motor in it with this splined flywheel output coupler.Factory? What did it power?
TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #8 Posted February 18, 2012 It's not factory Wheel Horse - and it's hard to tell why it's there. What are the numbers on the engine tag? (model / spec / serial)
HorseWhisperer 243 #9 Posted February 18, 2012 The gentleman I purchased it from said it runs a front mounted buzzsaw. He was also under the impression it was a ten fifty five too.The mesh debris screen is factory looking where this pto sits in it.as it is a 67 chassis with a K241 ten horse I think it may be a little "Frankenstein"Serial # will be up momentarily as I must trudge back to the barn and seperated these girls, they get jealous with new arrivals ya know. HorseWhisperer 243 #10 Posted February 18, 2012 The pto gear in question reads lord Erie Pa.model 241 motor isB16495 spec # 46264D
TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #11 Posted February 18, 2012 The engine was built in 1966 for Jacobsen - quite possibly for a Chief garden tractor. The only way to know what the coupler is off of and why it's there is to talk to who installed it. I have seen similar set-ups used to drive a hydraulic pump on turf equipment, but nothing exactly the same as this one. :confusion-shrug:
HorseWhisperer 243 #12 Posted February 18, 2012 Thanks Terry,I just threw 150 at the guy, loaded and ran before he changed his mind.I was only interested in the six speed granny and he hooked a jump to it and no smoke or nothing came from her,Ag tires and new fronts too w/ a tight ten horse pleased me.I have a 63 Simplicity 725 with a similiar drive coupler. This thing is gonna pry my brain for ideas now.Almost wish I never saw it.Thanks again,If you see any uses put in action clue me in!
