roadapples 6,983 #27 Posted November 9, 2015 I have a 72 or 74 ( can`t remember at the moment ) S19. The sliding engine is pretty Freddy Flintstone but it works. Never did a lot of research but they`re definitely not Wheel Horse. roadapples 6,983 #34 Posted November 10, 2015 Craig, the bolts from the Briggs engine go down along the edge of the frame, not through it. They thread into a tab about 1"x 1 1/2" x 1/4" if I remember correctly. I`ll try to remember to check. You grease the frame and adjust so it slides freely without binding. The "clutch" works in reverse. When you step on it the engine slides forward and tightens the belt, let off an it stops. It only has to move about 3/4". It`s pretty "mickey" but if adjusted right it works pretty good. Down side, you have to keep tension on it with your foot to keep going. On the safety side, if you fall off it will stop on its own. LOL! That`s it in a nut shell. Hope someone else on here can post pictures. Whew, that took a while, I type with one finger!
