new paint

Retired Wrencher

Hi I have seen here a few years back how to make new paint look old. I am doing the dash board all over with a used one. But Keep in mind it should look like it has been there sine day 1. I think it was a bout using a Gloss paint. I was thinking of using a flat red buy Testors. It looks real close to old paint. any info would be helpful. Gary B.... here is a pick of the set up. 61057005.jpg

I thought the dash was more of a silver with black letters :scratchead: .

:USA: :wh: Well look at what I found in the pile. I have been looking for something like this on E-Bay for a while. This should blend in well. I have to find some flat red to blend in with the rest. and I will be in. Trying make it look like it is 45yrs old and been that way since new. this will look good for a worker and show putter. Thanks for looking Gary B.................... dashplate003.jpgdashplate001.jpg
