Retired Wrencher 5,477 #3 Posted January 15, 2012 :USA: Hi John as I and many others will tell you the red does very with opinions. But I to keep it simple I use Rustoleum Sunrise Red. I get it buy the rattel or quart. Also u can buy this just about anyware that sells paint. I have some parts that are in great shape and have not seen the sun for long periods of time. And this color is very close to the original. I hope you will have fun in this project, take your time and it will pay you back in spades. Martin 2,132 #5 Posted January 15, 2012 :WRS: for me, case ih red is close enough to be a match. its also the only red that i can get a hold of in powder that also matches the valspar restoration series ih red.
specialwheelhorse 174 #6 Posted January 15, 2012 In the book strait from the horses mouth at one point the Obrian paint Co. was instructed by Wheel Horse to match as nearly as possible International Harvester Red so that's what I go by on my older tractors. I feel I own stock in TSC. Spring for hardener too.
