Pollack Pete 2,273 #1 Posted January 14, 2012 I'm getting ready to install a new, used rear axle in one of my D-160's.I'm going to install new axle seals while it's out.I pulled one of the hubs off today(Did anybody hear me screaming?)Tough job.Used the threaded rod trick like RS member Coles Dad posted here a while ago.Question is,what are the four 3/8 threaded holes for on the back side of the hubs? Also,I wonder how the dealers used to get the hubs off without breaking them. Also, where can I get the square cut o-rings for the hydraulic manifold. Thanks for any and all info. 1maidenfan 202 #2 Posted January 14, 2012 The 4 3/8" threaded holes are for mounting the steering brakes(not standard on D-160) . The square cut o-rings could be found at "applied industries technologies"believe they have a web site.
