multihobbyguy 35 #1 Posted January 5, 2012 I was wondering if anyone knew offhand what size the engine pulley and transmission pulley is supposed to be on a RJ 58? Also what the diameter of the idler pulley is on a RJ 58. The RJ came with no engine, no idler and a incorrect transmission pulley. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You need a cloth covered belt I've been told here. 29" And see above and make sure your pulley sizes are correct. I've got the opposite problem. I've got everything in the correct sizes but little forward motion with tranny engaged. Could be the k91 came off of some other piece of equipment but who knows. jsp_333 268 #15 Posted December 3, 2022 (edited) Oh is that how it's supposed to work. Who knew. Well I guess almost everyone here. Next issue. Roll pin for the clutch arm is mia so the idler pulley arm is moving at will. Threw in a cotter pin for now. It seems to be holding. Any idea how long is that spacer supposed to be for the belt guard - OM doesn't say. And how important is it anyway. jsp_333 268 #16 Posted December 4, 2022 So NEVER use a cotter pin in place of a roll pin. Sheered of almost immediately and had to punch it out. Got lucky. Found the correct roll pin in the garage. Also, Success! after I got the correct woodruff key in the transmission pulley - She jumped in the air.
