Beagles 72 #82 Posted December 20, 2014 This was the mower I used when I was a kid to mow my dads lawn. I got it out of his garage this fall and clean it up a little and it is running great. It was sitting in his garage for the last 40 years

prondzy 3,881 #84 Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) Heres my 856, found in a shed parked for 20 years, added some gas and a battery, she ran! smokes a little (going to rebuild the motor this spring) other wise just oiled her, painted the seat pan black and let her rip! cruisnblue48 835 #85 Posted December 24, 2014 (edited) Just thought I would throw some pics of mine in the mix. I bought this 1958 RJ-58 from jdogshorseranch about three years ago. I had to buy a seat, one front wheel (the one with the tire on it) and two new front tires but otherwise she still looks much like this today as when I bought it. I have not yet decided if I want to do any kind of restore on it but for now she's keeping the old rusty coat look. I have posted pics and stories elsewhere on RedSquare about the first Wheel Horse rusty clunker that I ever acquired just 3-1/2 years ago... my dad's original 1962 model 552. It was a basket case tractor with just about everything rust locked on her. It took me three years to get from this rusty clunker... to a beautifully restored 1962 model 502... I do know one thing for sure, though. Whether your rusty old Wheel Horse tractor clunkers are preserved as original workers or restored to having them given a new glorious second life, you can be sure there are proud owners somewhere near them.
