stevebo-(Moderator) 8,330 #3 Posted December 23, 2011 If it were mine I would make it a keeper but then again you have this bad habbit of selling your toys... Maybe this one you should make a keeper. It looks awesome. You should bring it up to the the ponderosa some time...
Ken B 3,164 #4 Posted December 23, 2011 I gotta get myself a trailer. It stinks loading this thing in the back of my stepside. It would be cool to bring it up to the Ponderosa, lots of riding room up there and I know you'd make me put it to work somehow!
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,330 #5 Posted December 23, 2011 Probably you are right... Thought you had a trailer??? There you go again selling your stuff.... Feel free to borrow either one of mine when you need it. I have the 4x8 and the big one.

wallfish 17,014 #7 Posted December 23, 2011 VERY nice Ken. By "keeper", do you mean longer than 6 months? Hoping to see it up close next year at the local shows.

Ken B 3,164 #9 Posted December 23, 2011 Probably you are right... Thought you had a trailer??? There you go again selling your stuff.... Feel free to borrow either one of mine when you need it. I have the 4x8 and the big one. I do have a trailer but it is not wide enough to fit this beast on. I could widen it but in the end I still don't think this one is heavy duty enough to haul this tractor and any other trinkets that I may find at a show. Ken B 3,164 #10 Posted December 23, 2011 VERY nice Ken. By "keeper", do you mean longer than 6 months? Hoping to see it up close next year at the local shows. Yep, longer than six months and here is why I think that. I started playing with tractors about 25 yrs. ago and I have had the pleasure of owning all of the major brands out there. I never thought I'd own or be able too afford an Economy, I thought damn, they are huge and must be big bucks but I have found out that that isn't really true. But there is still more to the story! Lol! I met Mike Martino (Horse's Mouth author) about tens yrs. ago when I bought a mint Lawn Ranger from him. This was my first Wheel Horse. Right next to the little Ranger he had what seemed like this huge MINT red tractor that I instantly fell in love with. I learned that it was a Rideaway Senior and for the next half hr. Mike told me all about it, I loved every minute of it. Right then and there I kept saying to myself, I'm gonna have one of these some day! Well, I know that ain't gonna happen. When I first saw this Economy the first thing that came to my mind was, here is the best chance you'll ever get to come close to that Rideaway Senior so you better make it happen. No matter what I was going to try to play my best hardball with the guy that was selling it but this guy was on his game. He must have been able to read my mind because I thought to myself, there was no way I was going home without it. I wound up having to trade him my Simplicity that I had just finished restoring, but that wasn't enough. Had to give him a mint mower deck, not enough. Had to give him a mint snow thrower, not enough. Had to give him a mint snow blade, not enough. I then looked him in the eye and said this is it, and then I'm done. I pulled out a 100 bill and told him to take the old lady out to dinner. He actually yelled up the steps to his wife and told her to get ready because in a half hr they were off to the Outback Steakhouse! Deal Done! I know it can't compare at all to a Senior but I know its as close as I'll ever get! LOL!
