Shuboxlover 478 #1 Posted December 20, 2011 So now that I have this running, I took it for a spin, but when I pull up on the brake lever, It essentially does nothing. I can still move the thing with the motion control lever no matter what position the brake lever is in. I disassembled the belt cover and top cover and inspected. I don't really see a problem unless it has the wrong size belt on it. The markings on the belt are a NAPA B81 50 Is this the correct belt or is it too long/short? Thanks guys
pfrederi 17,881 #2 Posted December 20, 2011 Belt should be a WH 7478 Gates converts that to a 6984. Taht is an 84 inch belt. Your numbers look more like a an 81 inch belt.

TT-(Moderator) 1,145 #6 Posted December 23, 2011 Is the current belt rubber or fabric coated? Are the tabs and/or wire guides (if applicable) in place and adjusted properly at the engine pulley?
BOWTIE 226 #7 Posted December 23, 2011 A B81 BELT IS 84" AND SHOULD BE CORRECT. THE A AND B SERIES BELTS MEASUREMENT ARE DIFFERENT (A) SERIES YOU ADD 2 INCHES TO PART NUMBER AND ( SERIES YOU 3 INCHES TO PART NUMBER. GOOD LUCK BOWTIE IN OHO
