C-141 Brake Lever

Recommended Posts

Shuboxlover

So now that I have this running, I took it for a spin, but when I pull up on the brake lever, It essentially does nothing. I can still move the thing with the motion control lever no matter what position the brake lever is in. I disassembled the belt cover and top cover and inspected. I don't really see a problem unless it has the wrong size belt on it. The markings on the belt are a NAPA B81 50

Is this the correct belt or is it too long/short?

Thanks guys

Belt should be a WH 7478 Gates converts that to a 6984. Taht is an 84 inch belt. Your numbers look more like a an 81 inch belt.

Is the current belt rubber or fabric coated?

Are the tabs and/or wire guides (if applicable) in place and adjusted properly at the engine pulley?

BOWTIE

A B81 BELT IS 84" AND SHOULD BE CORRECT. THE A AND B SERIES BELTS MEASUREMENT ARE DIFFERENT (A) SERIES YOU ADD 2 INCHES TO PART NUMBER AND (B) SERIES YOU 3 INCHES TO PART NUMBER. GOOD LUCK

BOWTIE IN OHO

Im having the same exact problem with my 73 14 auto. Put in new belt and now it seems 2 tight. Its also a 84 inch belt and compared it to the old one and it seems compatible. :angry-banghead: Did u figure it out yet? Thanx
