Jake Kuhn 1,555 #1 Posted December 18, 2011 Hi guys,I was just wondering about what I was going to do with these tires? A couple of years ago I was told by Joe Papke that these are rare and he called them a fish hook tire because of the tread. Are these rare as I have never seen another set besides a set he had,They are 6-12's.I don't remember what brand they were,Jake
KC9KAS 4,741 #2 Posted December 18, 2011 I have some tires like that on an old BOLENS walk behind. I hope they are worth something, because the rest of the machine is junk!
Sparky-(Admin) 21,347 #3 Posted December 18, 2011 Never seen a tread like that before. It'll be interesting to see if anyone here has a set of those tires. Mike..........

SousaKerry 501 #8 Posted December 21, 2011 I've been looking for a good set of those for my 54 Pond Walk Behind, The ones that are on it (pretty sure they are orriginal) are BF Goodrich Silvertowns with that same tread, trouble is mine are just ripped in half due to dry-rot. BTW on the farm we always called these tires checks or checkers cause they look like check marks. Guess you could also call em Nike's :ychain:
