WheelHorseSteve 56 #29 Posted February 28, 2012 That is one awesome engine! It's amazing to see how well it cleaned up. I hope you have the 8-pinion 8-speed rear end... it is going to get a workout!! I'm interested to see how you route the drive belt... that engine is mounted "D-series style". Could you do a driveshaft?

The motor will be turned to the normal position I just needed a place to bolt it down temporalily actually the motor is currently only held down with one bolt and a big C-clamp I got some 1" pipe to do up the pipes temporallily when I get it done I'll prolly use SS tubing when its done, we just happen to have plenty at work
CRE1992 135 #36 Posted March 2, 2012 This thing looks mean. I think if the tires are not slipping on the ground when you throttle this baby up, that the drive belt is gonna be smoking.
bowtiebutler956 650 #37 Posted March 2, 2012 Can I take it for a ride when its done? Matt

SousaKerry 501 #45 Posted May 6, 2012 <p>Well finally pulled the c-255 out of the shed to do a bit more test fitting and tinkering.  Decided I'm going to go blackhood! Of coarse like i would do anything else.  The engine needs to come a little farther forward but it's close enough. Here's a coupe of picks kinda dark but you get the idea
bowtiebutler956 650 #46 Posted May 6, 2012 Glad to see your back to working on it! Yeah I'd say it needs to go forward a little, looks like your foot is resting on the blower housing. That sure is alot of engine! Matt :flags-texas:
