854 Restoration

Recommended Posts

WheelHorse50

Picked this up not to long ago. I am going to restore it when I have time. I have already made some progress and I'm going to continue to. I will keep you updated. It is a 1964 Wheel Horse 854. I am in need of belt cover for the motor and the generator so if you have one Pm me and we can work something out. Let me know what you think.

Sorry for such a delay. My computer has been under weather. I have finally been able to get some attention onto the 854. Meanwhile I have been able to get everything painted and ready for assembly. The only thing I have to finish is the motor but I already stated into it and things are moving along nicely. Being a high school student leaves me with little time to do things but I am still managing. Let me know what your thoughts are

Hello all and thanks for all the generous comments. I have made some progress on the motor and tractor. I had to wait for the gasket set to get here for some reason that took a week itself. I didn't have any problems and everything really went smoothly. I should be ordering the decals to finish everything up. Let me know what you think. If anyone has a belt guard for a K181 Let me know I would be interested in buying.

I was able to make some progress not on the tractor but on the deck. the deck wasn't actlually in bad shape but it still needed blasted and the whole 9 yards. Here are a few pictures. I did manage to get it primed tonight but wasnt able to get pictures due to light. Let me know what you think or places for improvement as I am always open to constructive critisim. I will have a better update tomorrow with some primer and hopefully some paint.

I ran out of sand so I didn't get to finish that corner but later in the day I did.

Got some pictures of everything in primer, won't be painting till the end of this week. My decals also came in and look great but have yet to install them. Here are some pictures of the deck in primer.
