RJR49 129 #1 Posted November 30, 2011 I have been thinking about buying a C-161. Given the age of these tractors a rebuild isn't out of the question on anything I acquire. My concern is that if the 16 is the same block as the 12 HP there might not be enough cylinder wall left to clean up. I am guessing that someone at RS must know. TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #2 Posted November 30, 2011 The K-341 engines are a different casting - easily identified by 10 head bolts vs. 9 on the 241 - 321 models.

big mike 13 #4 Posted December 2, 2011 Even if the bore is too far over size to be usable you could always have it sleeved.
Kelly 1,029 #5 Posted December 2, 2011 On the 16hp block ONLY if it has 11 cooling fins it is a thinner cast block, not that it can't be bored over just thinner, if it has 13 fins it is the thick casting block, it is the one the pulling tractor guys look for, I have a local guy that buys most of my 13 fin blocks, just for pulling.
