As far as a new stock seat, I don't think you are going to find one on the shelf anywhere. If you still have the seat pan from the old one, you could have an auto upholsterer make you a new one. Other than that, keep looking on eBay or these types of forums. Maybe you will get lucky.

I have the same need. I am going to go the route of the upholsterer.

No it is not. The Commando 8 seat is a 3-piece unit and was found on several other models including some Lawn Rangers, 1968 Commando 6, 1968 Raider 12, Raider 9, Charger 12, Electro 12, 1967 1257, 1277, 607, 657, 857, 877.
