AMC RULES 37,130 #3 Posted November 26, 2011 Geez, that last pict looks like that thing sucked the grass off the ground. :dunno:
shallowwatersailor 3,213 #4 Posted November 26, 2011 No, that's part of the deer trail that cuts through my property. Over my right shoulder is my trail to the back where I dump the leaves. Great compost come Spring! I have to admit that the combination that I have is really great! My wife thought that I should get a smaller CR model but I can fill the XL bag four times in two hours. I just wish that I had a 522 or 523 with power steering for dodging the trees. You can't beat the cut-in angle on the 5xi series.
AMC RULES 37,130 #5 Posted November 26, 2011 I was just kidding you John about the power of your vac. That tractor of yours looks like a monster, guess I didn't realize they got that big. Looks a bit beefier than my ol' 520. :help:
shallowwatersailor 3,213 #6 Posted November 27, 2011 :wh: I knew that you were kidding. By the way, I use to own a '75 Hornet Sportabout, complete with genuine-imitation Wood Paneled sides. That 258 was a tough engine. But when I got my '78 CJ-7, I bought it with the 304. Now that was a strong engine! :dunno:
AMC RULES 37,130 #7 Posted November 27, 2011 Funny! Our Sportabout was '76, and the CJ was a last year, '86 model.
AMC RULES 37,130 #8 Posted November 27, 2011 The only one we have left. '73 Javelin AMX... that has the strong motor in it. :dunno:
rmaynard 15,428 #9 Posted November 27, 2011 I finished mine today. Folded up the Cyclone Rake, hung it on the wall of the shed, rolled the engine into the corner, and parked the John Deere for the winter. And John, you are right about the composting leaf piles. The Cylcone Rake chops them so fine that come spring, I got the best black dirt in the neighborhood. Never have to buy the bagged stuff.

AMC RULES 37,130 #11 Posted November 27, 2011 I see great minds think alike, we both had matched sets. :dunno:
