kj4kicks 151 #2 Posted June 24, 2008 Hey Duke, Heard rumors of 700+. Thursday night TT, Hobie, and I walked the grounds. TT counts good ! There were about 200 there that night!
TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #3 Posted June 24, 2008 Duke, I've never known them to be able to have an accurate tally - except for maybe at the first few shows. Because a lot of tractors never get registered (especially the ones in the "Horse trading" area) it would be tough to get a true number. I talked to BP right before I left Saturday, and he was certain that there was well over 700 tractors in attendance.

BPjunk 184 #6 Posted June 25, 2008 I didnt hear the final count, how many WH tractors made it to the show? Duke Duke, I have seen this show grow and do know it takes a lot of Wheel Horses to fill the South Mountain Fairgrounds, in the year 2006 there was close to 700 Wheel Horses attending ........... THERE WAS SIGNIFICANTLY MORE THIS YEAR IN 2008 ...... MANY MANY MANY MORE!!!! The Annual Wheel Horse SHOW is the biggest single make and combined make garden tractor show PERIOD! As far as large tractor single makes shows (John Deere and IH) the Annual Wheel Horse Show is right up there with them! I do have two goals for the Annual Wheel Horse Show and I will achive them both 1) Have the Annual Wheel Horse Show filmed for television. 2) Put the Annual Wheel Horse Show in the Guiness Book of World Records as the largest working tractor show (the record is now at over 1,400 tractors held by show in England). Always remember ..... A man who has vision never sleeps and a man who sleeps only dreams. Wild Bill in Richmond, Va.

And we are with you Bill!! all of us will try and make this happen by promoting the Hobby! Thats where you need to get MJ involved. She is Community involvment quardiantor for Wal~Mart she has won about every award that Sam Walton has offered and has been on Network T.V. For her efforts, she may have some ideas on the promotion of such an event! I have a couple ideas of my own that I think would spur some action and get alot of attendance. I will talk to you about this later. Duke
