New Shoes for the SnowBlower

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Last year I used HDPE Strips, (heavy-duty polyethylene), on the cutter bar of my snowplow to keep it from damaging my blacktop driveway. It worked well but needed replaced midway through the winter season. This year I'm using a very thick all-in-one piece on the plow and I just installed new HDPE shoes on the snowblower pads this year.

Needed to heat it a little to get it to bend over the pad. We'll see how this does and I'll get pictures of the snowplow soon.

The HDPE was bought years ago from GE PolymerShapes. I think they may have sold that division off but I know this material is still readily available online.
