Mith 2 #1 Posted October 11, 2011 Met Mark (meadowfield) last night. Top guy, could have spent a couple more hours talking, but night was well upon us! He asked if I would pop a few pics up of the bits and bobs that are kicking about here. Sadly it was quite dark so we didnt have time to play with anything. First is a loader/backhoe based on a 312-8. I think it took me about a year to do both. I think I started the loader when I was 16. And to prove I did make the bucket! (BTW, Westwood Gazelle chassis are a good source of 3mm plate!) This is a picture of the hydro tractor. And the office..... There are plenty of other bits and bobs lying about in the weeds. Actually looking through my photos to find them uncovered some pictures I had forgotten about!
meadowfield 2,593 #2 Posted October 11, 2011 Jim, great to meet you you have inspired me... thanks for sharing the pictures - I'm sure the others will appreciate it too! I'm also jealous of the office mark

meadowfield 2,593 #8 Posted October 22, 2011 I think we all noticed... the forum has been down for almost 3 days, and outside that it has been incredibly slow. Slower than dial up speed!!!

Mith 2 #10 Posted November 3, 2011 Just managed to get back on. You cant fix computers with a hammer, so I leave them alone! I think we have our own private thread. Quick, lets say rude things about people and see how long it takes them to notice :dunno:

Mith 2 #17 Posted November 12, 2011 Can I interest anyone in a Landrover? I just got a new(ish) one and need to sell the older ones. Actually, both are old enough to export, any of you US guys want a proper car? I seem to have built up a collection, the red one must go, the green one should go but I'm a bit attached to it! sorekiwi 761 #18 Posted December 4, 2011 Seems like this is the English chatroom!! I remember Miths loader/backhoe project from when he built it years ago! But then he disappeared for a long time, as did a lot of the pictures of the build. I'm glad to see you back Mith!
Rollerman 290 #19 Posted December 5, 2011 I'm glad to see you back Mith! Ditto, I remember reading about the FEL/backhoe/312 way back when here at RS, then you got into the articulated 4x4 build on another site. Good to see your still with us Jim.
