pfrederi 17,876 #1 Posted October 1, 2011 My D200 uses the finger with teeth style pawl. The Electro12 I am working on uses a different style I am not familiar with. I assume there should not be the "cut out" area shown in the picture below. I know they are NLA so I guess some welding is in order, should it be straight across??? daveoman1966 3,762 #2 Posted October 1, 2011 The Parking Pawl should be straight across with no 'cut-out' area. Mig it up then file it flat across. ps...male CERTAIN of a good secure weld. If not, the weld may just snap off...then you're super screwed. OR... I can send you a new one for $47. I have the other toothed-style for the D-200 too.... same price. ps... the 'cut-out' area is caused by 'panick stops'.... i.e., jerking up on the parking brake while still moving. This is like throwing your car in 'park' while still rolling. If yours is badly worn down, I'd urge you to inspect the brass components of the hydro pump and motor assy. It is very likely that there is damage within from the steel shavings from this parking pawl.
