bell 11 #1 Posted September 13, 2011 My dad and I negotiated a trade for this Power King 1618... (thanks again Mitch!) Dad decided that he wanted it to be in "parade clothes" so, here goes! The first order of business is to replace the engine (K361) It smokes badly and seems to have lots of issues. I'm replacing it with a K341 from a C160. (Thanks to Bob Rock!) bell 11 #2 Posted September 14, 2011 Thanks to my brother Rob, it now has a steering wheel... It will get a PK sticker of some kind, when it's done.
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,330 #3 Posted September 14, 2011 That machine is a real powerful tractor. I see you have dual trans too. I bought a parts early 70's 2414 that had already been partially stipped but came with FEL and sickle bar and the value of the parts alone were very surprising. I plan on putting the fel and sickle on my 69 1614. I really like that tractor you hav e
fireman 1,021 #4 Posted September 14, 2011 Jon, Your really gonna like that PK. These things have unbelievable power. I only wish I had the dual transmission and hydraulics in mine.
bell 11 #5 Posted October 18, 2011 Still pluggin' away at it... Engin(K341) freshened up and ready to go back in... All stripped down... And cleaned... I'll be pulling the transmissions, to reseal them and replace a couple missing bolts. The gear lube in them looked surprisingly good...

DoctorHfuhruhurr 137 #9 Posted December 5, 2011 Do you have a dog? It looks like it may have "claimed ownership" to your left rear tire on the second photo.
Ken B 3,164 #10 Posted December 6, 2011 Can't wait to see the finished tractor! I'm piecing one together as a worker and restoring another.
bell 11 #11 Posted December 19, 2011 It's been awhile, and I didn't take any more pics along the way... I've been working ALL of my days off, for the past month or two to get it done... Here it is! I delivered it today, along with a modified WH blade that I adapted to it, so dad can push snow with it... He's in love! He's probably driving it around right now... lol Now it's time to reclaim my shop and get back on the hot rod project!
