azc145 0 #1 Posted August 26, 2011 I have a C-145 that has an oil leak on the hydraulic valve lift valve. The valve works great it just leaks. Any ideas on where I can get new O-rings? Or maybe an alternate approach that I could use to seal the leak? The only marking that I can find on this valve is "Ward Co". Any ideas on how to better identify this valve? It does not look like the two valves that are shown in the C-145 parts manual. Attached Image (Click thumbnail to expand)

SousaKerry 501 #4 Posted August 26, 2011 Any Hydraulic shop should be able to help you, let your fingers do the walking as they say.. The oval seal is just an o-ring that has been in that shape so long that it stays that way. You can do a little measurement and find o-rings at hardware and auto stores also. shorts 182 #5 Posted August 26, 2011 :thumbs2: You probably go to a hydraulic shop to make sure that you get o-rings that are compatable with hydraulic oil and of the proper hardness to withstand the pressures in the system.
SousaKerry 501 #6 Posted August 26, 2011 as long as they are Viton instead of Buna you should be fine

TT-(Moderator) 1,145 #8 Posted August 27, 2011 Must be an early 1980 C-145 with a Sundstrand. (Wheel Horse p/n 106680) Check with member "kj4kicks" (Eldon) to be sure, but I think THIS KIT on his website should fit your valve. :thumbs2:
