fourwheels0 191 #1 Posted August 22, 2011 what should i use for fluid in the rearend of my 1988 414-8 speed. some say 90-140wt others say automatic tranny fluid. mine looks foamy and cream colored right now. i don't think it's ever been changed or at least not in a long time. SousaKerry 501 #3 Posted August 22, 2011 personally I like to run the synthetic 90W stuff little more expensive but it seems thinner and pours easier. If the current fluid looks like chocolate milk then it has water in it check the condition of the rubber boot where the shifter comes out of the tranny, new ones are available at your dealer for about $5 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
