Dockfishin 51 #52 Posted September 11, 2011 It made for great television but Bo was turning over in his grave that game was so sloppy Either way I'll take a win and hope it all cleans itself up a little more each week Go BLUE!

HorseFixer 2,012 #54 Posted September 11, 2011 Hey Bob...How is your heart after that game...??? All I can say is WoW Steve that was the best game I have ever seen them play! I had to take a couple NITRO'S :thumbs2:
JimD 3,345 #55 Posted September 11, 2011 Heck Dook, I had to take a couple Nitro's and I'm a Buckeyes fan. Most exciting game of the day for sure! :thumbs2:
stevasaurus 22,764 #56 Posted September 11, 2011 Yep, there were quite a few good games yesterday. It was a great football day from start to finish. I hate to say it, but I think Brrly1 took his Hawkeyes and went home. Here is the link to the schedule:: http://www.bigten.org/sports/m-footbl/sche...otbl-sched.html
illinilefttackle 399 #57 Posted September 11, 2011 Illinois Illinois 56 / South Dakota St. 3 Sorry John...Get over it. Iowa 41 / Iowa St 44 Been watching a few games- a lot of them were pretty "sloppy" A lot of turnovers & mental errors-but some of the teams are fairly young and mistakes will be made. The Illini look good. They could end up playing a spoiler role this year in this conference. This cool fall air and the sounds of fans cheering stirs the old bones to be "young" again. I called the coach at Iliinois and asked if I could play again-he said I was "ineligible" Besides they don't want old coots getting in the way!-That wasn't very nice was it? All kidding aside-just think of all the young men that are "Making Memories" by playing each Saturday. Their lives will be changed forever by the experience. Thanks -Al
stevasaurus 22,764 #58 Posted September 12, 2011 Come on John...shake it off and get back in the game. :thumbs2:
stevasaurus 22,764 #59 Posted September 14, 2011 Well...the Big Ten could go undefeated this weekend. Five games stand out as this weeks close games to watch: 1st...Michigan St. @ Notre Dame Always a good game. 2nd..Arizona St. @ Illinois We will see how good Ill. is 3rd..Ohio St. @ Miami No idea about this game. 4th..Northwestern @ Army I think Northwestern can win this game. 5th..Washington @ Nebraska I always worry about a Pac Ten team. Here we go on week 3... :thumbs2:

It seems you drop the "saurus" come about Thursday, and turn into The Amazing Zultan, seer, soothsayer, and know-er of all things. Better watch out, Dook's got sluggo warmed up, and Brrly's just itchin to borrow him to crack that crystal ball of yours.

papaglide 542 #62 Posted September 16, 2011 Notre Dame will pull this one off..turnovers have absolutely killed them the past 2 games. BTW WR Floyd was suspended for 4 months after 1 DWI. Doesn't make it right just stating the facts. Huskers will dominate. These aren't Don James' Huskies anymore. Illinois should pull it off. Scheelhaase is a good QB. State should beat Miami. Army and Northwestern should be close with Army pulling it off. I think that its GREAT that we are discussing the Big 10. Its me and my boys' favorite conference even though we live near Buffalo. We get real sick of the crush that most seem to have on the SEC.
stevasaurus 22,764 #63 Posted September 16, 2011 Papaglide... I'm with ya, but I think Northwestern will beat Army (remember that their first string 1/4back has not played yet). If they were playing Navy, that would be the good game. BTW...I hate to jinx Illinois...but if they beat #22 Arizona St....they should break into the top 25 this week. I and a few others can only hope. :thumbs2:

We get real sick of the crush that most seem to have on the SEC. Well no those aren't facts its Floyd's Third Bout with drinking since 2009 and he should be suspended for a year. Read It Here. Brady Hoke suspended Darryl Stonum Indefinitely after 2 Alcohol Related arrests. Read It Here. Notre Dame has lost control of that program. How about the Girl from Saint Mary's that was raped by ND football players a couple years ago and then mysteriously died a few days later? (that was swept under the rug before she could go to court.) How about the kid that fell off the scaffold while the whole team watched? (pay the family off) how come coach Kelly didnt get wacked? He was in charge of that practice! The troubles go on and on under the tarnished DOME. Their Motto is win at ANY COST thats why instead of having discipline they play these drunken players. I live 10 miles from the stadium and I hear their wining scandalous chit on the TV every night for the past 40 years. And Pleeease I doubt ND Will beat a 15th ranked team. They are poorly coached and have been since Lou Holtz every time they get a coach that gets close to breaking Knute Rockheads record they get rid of him what kind of crap is that? Michigan taught them how to play football in 1887 and have been kicking their Butt since. They lead the series by 8 games one of the few teams that can say that. Anyway I cant wait till around 7:00 p.m. MSU will hand their head to them on a plate! ~Duke
JimD 3,345 #65 Posted September 17, 2011 Personally, I'm more interested in the game of football and how it's played on the field from week to week than listening to someone dig up dirt on every team they don't like. Every team has a few skeletons in their closet. All you have to do is open the door to find em. I thought the " trash talk" was kidding each other in a friendly way and just joking around with one another, and not meant to be harmful or disrespectful of each other or the schools in question who all have proud traditions in football.I guess it was wrong of me to call someone Dook instead of Duke in jest (although ya gotta admit it just drove ya nuts ) and to think I could participate this year in this thread. I shied away from it for two seasons because I didn't think I followed college football closely enough. It's week two and it's already been ruined for me. <_< Go Buckeyes! :thumbs2:
Brrly1 1,146 #66 Posted September 17, 2011 YIKES!!! Iowa has a young team with nine returning starters. If I remember correctly that is the least amount of returning starters in the league. Last week was a tough lost. Not sure how Pitt rates but I don't think they are a bad team. Time will tell. :D
