Brrly1 1,146 #26 Posted September 2, 2011 Mike, it is not this week that would make me nervous but Next weekend against the Toledo Rockets. Last night they kicked butt and took no names because they didn't care. It was a 58-22 win for the Rockets!! I have to believe that is a good tune-up for them. The Buckeyes are next in Columbus. Now by all means I am for Ohio State when they are playing anybody but My Hawkeyes and I am gonna have to stand behind the Rockets on this one. I think they might give the Buckeyes a worse time than Akron will. As usual Go Hawkeyes!!! Rockets Rule!!! :thumbs2:
C-Series14 15 #27 Posted September 2, 2011 WOW! Toledo might be the good game then. I will be out in Washington near Tacoma for the next 39 days so I hope I can get some Bucks games out the in Huskies land! :thumbs2:
stevasaurus 22,692 #28 Posted September 2, 2011 I agree that next week the Toledo @ Ohio St. game could be very good...but the better game is going to be Iowa St. vs Iowa. :thumbs2:

stevasaurus 22,692 #30 Posted September 3, 2011 How Did I Know That Was Coming!!! Bah Humbug!!! Here we go John... BTW...I did not think Michigan St. looked that impressive last night. Anyone think that Minnesota can beat USC today?? :D
Brrly1 1,146 #31 Posted September 3, 2011 Steve, I have to agree on the Mich State. There for awhile I thought Jim Tressel was coaching. The word is that he has gone pro for the time being. Anyways I would like to see Minnesota pound the dog snot right out of USC but I don't believe that will happen. I am hoping at least for a one point advantage at the final click of the clock. I finally got out of the house yesterday Steve (Refracman) came by to pick me up and start on a diff. venture. I actually got to stop by and see Carl yesterday afternoon on our way back from the foundry. We had a great visit as always. Actually it doesn't matter which team it is in the BIg Ten, I always will be a Pro Big Ten and of course Go Hawkeyes!!! :thumbs2:
stevasaurus 22,692 #32 Posted September 3, 2011 Dang John...you almost called the Minn/USC game...I'll take a 2 point loss there if it is the only Big Ten loss this weekend...Indiana still to play tonight. After the 1st round...the Big Ten looks pretty strong as a whole. BTW...Illinois looked real good. Northwestern also. So did Penn St. Not that impressed with Michigan...they let a good MAC team hang in there at the big house for a while. Looks like another great year for college football.
bk-scouter 93 #33 Posted September 4, 2011 I can only imagine how much more the point spread would have been against WMU had they played a whole game, not less than three whole quarters. The Wolverines had the momentum started their way. Sure beats starting the season with a loss (finally). And oh yeah, GO BLUE !! -BK

Here is the link: http://www.bigten.org/sports/m-footbl/sche...otbl-sched.html Steve what TV were you watchin? Yeah right! I love the way Notre Dame played South Florida! Yep the first Game under the lights at Michigan Stadium! It will turn out the same as the past two years, with the exception that this year we have a stonger offensive line and a Defence that ATTACTS the Quarterback! Oh and lets not forget, a real COACH! We wont win the Big 10 Confrence but we are on our way! Illinois your in BIG TROUBLE Nov 12th Cheers ~Duke

JimD 3,345 #41 Posted September 4, 2011 Damn Duke, if it came down to who had the boldest type and biggest pics in their posts, you'd win it all. Too bad you're not playing for Michigan, they'll no doubt need some fancy computer tricks somewhere down the road this season. :banghead:

JimD 3,345 #48 Posted September 10, 2011 The Buckeyes escape with a win in a real nail-biter, 27-22 against Toledo. Toledo definitely came to play and nearly embarrassed the Buckeyes at home. I gotta tell ya, little humility goes a long way. I just hope they learn to stop the rule violations and play ball. Will Iowa be as lucky? We'll know shortly. On a side note, I spent the afternoon with my buddy Stevasaurus watching the games on his TV through Skype because I couldn't get the Buckeyes game because of several channels being out on my cable today. I don't care who ya are, that's a real buddy right there! Thanks Steve. Hawkeyes?
