jbumgarner 12 #1 Posted August 5, 2011 I am getting ready to start tearing down my 702, and would like to go through the transmission. It doesn't have any problems now, but being almost 50 years old I thought it would be a good idea to go through the it. Does anyone have an estimated cost of bearing and seals or any other wear items that I may need. I haven't started anything yet, but with money being an issue I would like to have a general idea before I start. I'm sure someone out there has done this recently and wouldn't mind letting me know what to expect. Thanks in Advance, :woohoo:
sorekiwi 761 #2 Posted August 6, 2011 If you go through a beaaring house (eg Motion Industries, Allied etc) the cost for the needle rollers and seals will be $100 -$120. If you want to replace the ball bearings on each side of the differential, they are only available thru Toro and the last price I heard was $65 each. The gasket is about $5 from Toro.
