Recommended Posts

Took a few pics for you guys tonight. Got the easy, simple stuff off (hood, seat, fender pan etc) and I took it into the driveway for a little bath.

Just a little snipet of how its coming so far :woohoo:

I didnt spray anything on the top half of the motor. I was very careful to not get any water near there.

I am still in the first stages of disasembly, so the carb is going to come off, cleaned and rebuilt before it goes back on.

This is going to be my baby, so I am going to take my time, do it right, and add a little bit of "me" to it to make it a little unique.

Thanks Hydro & ShootinOK

I will do mini-threads like this as I go. I will not be fast enough to show the full progress like Kelly is doing with his daughters tractor. Just no enough hours in the day /:

Very clean machine to start with, and I still don't have enough hours in the day, this weekend will be a mad dash.

What does the Falcon have in it???

I had a feeling somebody was going to ask at some point.

It's my dad's 1964 Ford Falcon Futura. He resto-moded it, as it isnt really worth much back to stock. Right now it's running a Ford Racing 347 (stroked 302), Demon Carb, Tremic TKO-500 5-Speed trans, & a Ford 9" rear end. He just got it back from painting a couple weeks ago, and is putting it back together before our trip to Lake George in September.

Here is another pic of the car before re-paint. Believe it or not, the color of the car when we got it was.... International Harvester Red lol. He had it repainted in Ragoon red, the color originally on the car.

Again, thanks all for the compliments and support. This is going to be a fun project, and this site is really motivating me to work on it.

Oh, and to say the car goes like a bat-out-of-hell would be a vast understatement. The thing is absolutely insane. Weight is about 3200 with 1/2 tank of gas and driver. He built it to beat on, as he hates "trailer queens" and he really does romp on it. He is on Tranny #2, as the first one (an older T5) blew when he power shifted 2nd gear while doing a burn-out lol

The bronco will look great with that blade underneath it.

I just got my rear mount in tonight for the grader. I mocked it up, with the bolts finger tight, to see if everything would fit and to visualize how it would look. That blade is going to fit great, have no issues with tire rub, and I think it is going to look so bad@$$ with it on there.

Got another little update today. Was able to completely disconnect the motor, and pulled it off. Also pulled off a few little things (front & mid attach-a-matic).

Got a few new pics. The motor was quite heavy, more then I thouht it would be. She really needs to lose some weight :woohoo:

Well, thats it for now. Heading up to up-state Vermont this weekend to visit family. Progress will continue next week. Pulling the motor was a big thing for me. So happy its done. Now I can work on rebuilding the carb, pulling the head, new gaskets, and cleaning any carbon that may be in the motor.

I will keep you guys updated as new things happen, and thanks again for all the support!

Thanks allot Ken and Coadster!

My whole family is big into cars. I helped my dad many-a-long nights to get that beast where she is now. I guess you could say that it is now transfering over into the tractor relm.

One of these days, I'm gonna have to take a pic of my two horses, my Wheel Horse Bronco 14, and my Ford Pinto that my dad and I redid the summer of 2010.
